Miki began her musical life at 4 years old when she would harmonize with her father. Her earliest memory was singing "Diamonds and Rust" by Joan Baez over the phone to her Uncle Tom while dad played the guitar. She self taught herself how to play during her high school years, and started performing throughout college. As life happens, a career in Graphic Design, getting married, and having a child set music on the back burner for the years that followed.

In the summer of 2004 Miki began recording background vocals with a local band
the Sundrops
, which sparked the music within her. Her first song "I See Me" was written in the driveway with her daughter asleep in her stoller after an afternoon walk. In 2005 she wrote over 20 songs and performed at various coffehouses and bars in the Massachusetts area.

2006 will see the release of Miki's first CD and hopefully many more shows around New England...stay tuned!
