5/03/06: So last night I ventured out for the first time by myself to a show. Usually it's Dave that's heading out the door on a stormy night with guitar in hand. I felt like it was the first day of school as he waved proudly from the window. He encouraged me to give it a shot while he and Chloe had nice daddy/daughter time of blanket tents and snacks. Thanks Dave. I played 2 songs at the open mic hosted by "Two for the Show" Jake Kensinger and Ellen Schmidt. They did one of my favorites: Walkin' After Midnight by Patsy Cline. It was a great place, fantastic food...I had the raspberry crumble which I highly recommend! It was a night of moving poetry and songs, met some great people and I look forward to playing there again soon... and also trying one of their wraps and another pastry of some sort...alright I admit it...I do this for the food and mochas...=) Next we go back to the City of Lowell for a show at Brew'd Awakening..hmm I wonder what I'll order there. =0)...hmmm what else...oh yeah we're still hoping for a summer release of the CD, fingers crossed.
